Bakit pare-pareho ang tono nina BINAY, POE, ESCUDERO at MARCOS

translation by Don Caparros

Parang puta. Nakapagod paninisi at pagrereklamo.

Ngunit huwag kang mag-alala tungkol dito. Kami na ang bahala.

May tao ng kayang gumawa nyan.

CONGRATS joe am you said it as the best of the best of Pinoys can do it. Kept on reading this time since may be because only 2 to three termites wandered in this thread. gladly saw there ‘s plenty of new names truly Filipino who did not make hay while the crooked had their suns shone on them.

  2. Mariano Renato Pacifico says:

I am very poor in Talagog. I admit. I took Pilipino The Course twice ! Pilipino is a required course. Another Pilipino required course is Jose Rizal The Course. It covers two “great works” the El Feli and Noli Mi. Again, both of these courses I nearly keel over. I thought I was the only one struggling, the rest are. These are the most difficult courses in my college days. I’d rather be thrown into a den of mathematicians than these two. Of course, our professors have PhDs and graduates from, where else, University of the Philippines.

University of the Philippines is a government institution, run by Philippine government funded by the government for the Filipinos by Filipinos same with Philippine Military Academy. These are public schools. Like all Philippine public schools their graduates have questionable characters. Jinggoy, The Binays, Gloria, DoH director, nearly all top honchos in Philippine government bureacracy and elected offices are top-of-the-line UP graduates. Before I forget, the bagwomen of Napoles and of course, the wife of Mr Roxas, Mrs. Roxas. Scratch all crooks surface you see this “U.P.” no doubt about it. If anyone is new to Google, just type ” + ” without fail, crooks came from that school.

There is something about Tagalog. It is only spoken and understood by a few. You go several kilometers away from the center of Manila they speak different dialects. Bisayan and Mindanao speak variation of Bisaya, yet, widely understood. Definitely not Tagalog. Yet, Tagalog is Philippines national language not Bisayan.

Despite, I love to listen to Talagog. Other times I catch few phrases, most of the time I get lost what they are talking about. Bisayan is more colorful. A word in Bisayan would take two sentences for English or Tagalog. “Bastos” can be eggregiously uber-bastos to less offensive bastos to a mere discreptive word.

Filipinos love the F-word. To Filipinos the “F” is classy. Coool. Shows pedigree. Education. English “F” word is acceptable in social polite circles. But, never, never, ever bomb them the tagalog variety of the F-word. It is trash. It makes people cheeks turn red.

To mumura a Filipino real good it is best to use Tagalog, English wouldn’t do justice. To mumura a Filipino in Tagalog is worthy to be buried 1-feet deep. It is crass.

Well, anyways, I envy people those who speak their Philippine dialects. Most of all I totally envy people who graduate from University of the Philippines. They always get away with their loot.

Ostracism (Greek: ὀστρακισμός, ostrakismos) was a procedure under the Athenian democracy in which any citizen could be expelled from the city-state of Athens for ten years. While some instances clearly expressed popular anger at the citizen, ostracism was often used preemptively. It was used as a way of neutralizing someone thought to be a threat to the state or potential tyrant. It has been called an “honourable exile” by scholar P.J. Rhodes…

The name is derived from the ostraka, (singular ostrakon , ὄστρακον), referring to the pottery shards that were used as voting tokens. Broken pottery, abundant and virtually free, served as a kind of scrap paper (in contrast to papyrus, which was imported from Egypt as a high-quality writing surface, and was thus too costly to be disposable).

Your proposal is therefore very democratic, in an ancient sense. But also harsh.

But why not use it in Philippine democracy? Sino kaya ang unang palalabasin? Si Sotto?

    • Romeo Elises says:

I think Mariano Pacifico is one of the few surviving anti-tagalog person who have resisted to learn Flipino on the pretext that it is a very hard to learn language. The truth is the Sugbu dialect is harder to learn to non-Cebuanos. I know because I am not a Cebuano but I learn to understand and speck the dialect even without formal education. To me, being able to understand and speak as many languages/dialects is an advantage. My kids can speak both Filipino and Cebuano and can communicate in Ilongo dialect aside from English which they learn in school. I think the Cebuanos dislike of the Tagalogs have their root during the Comonwealth years when Quezon (a tagalog) was President and Osmena (a Cebuano) was Vice-President. It was during that time that the selection of what the national language will be was held. Many dialects and even foreign languages were debated upon. By the process of elimination two dialects came out strong, Tagalog and Cebuano. Tagalog was finally chosen as the basis of what the national language will be. I think the Cebuanos feel cheated due to the influence of Quezon, and such feeling persisted up to now to some Cebuanos. This Is just my personal view and should be taken out of context.

  3. Mariano Renato Pacifico says:

Powerful. Well connected.

On the ther hand, the anti-Binays maniwala sila. So, really, it is weder-weder lang. Kasi ang mga Pinoy hindi objective. They are subjective.

Alam nila ang law pero hindi nila alam how to apply it.

Don has so kindly translated Joe’s blog for as the latter says : this translation “significantly extends the reach of the article”

Your comment, MRP, significantly belied all Joe’s arguments in the original article, you negated Don’s efforts, you defeated the purpose of the translation by saying Mar is just like the four. Your comment which is almost as long as the translated article itself completely muddled the issue that Joe and Don are trying hard to clarify.

Your issues were thoroughly explained to you by Juana in a previous blog article, supported by appropriate link, what is your purpose in posting this story of Korina’s alleged maltreatment of the house help over and over ad infinitum? How many more times must you repeat this allegation that has been cleared already by the court?

Your pet peeve aside from UP and HUSTISYANG BALUKTOT is Korina. Sometimes it’s funny, this time, it’s definitely not.

You are so fond of this mudslinging and character assassination on the person of Korina. We are doing everything to help Mar, to let him be known to the masa so continuity can be attained but here you are, making all our efforts useless. You say you are not well versed in Tagalog but you painstakingly tried to post a Tagalog version of your case against Korina. Suppose the masa believes you? The thought of any of this four (subject of Joe’s article) to be elected president and thereby appoint 11 associate justices to the SC who will take care of their own personal interest i.e. letting go of the alleged plunderers is enough to make us enraged with your repeated posts that were already clarified to you repeatedly as well. It’s all very well for you as you live outside of our country but we all have to live here and suffer the consequence if any of these four will be elected because of the likes of you who muddle the issues. We (like Joe) are serious here. Juana is not living here but she is concerned enough to care for this country, just like most of the overseas based Filipinos except you.

Am sorry, Joe. I know you and the others like MRP and are amused by his posts but I have to be honest with what I feel. I try to understand him but most of the time, I cannot.

              from Mayo Clinic:

Carpal tunnel syndrome should be treated as early as possible after you begin to experience symptoms.

Some people with mild symptoms of carpal tunnel syndrome can ease their discomfort by taking more frequent breaks to rest their hands, avoiding activities that worsen symptoms and applying cold packs to reduce occasional swelling.

If these techniques don’t offer relief within a few weeks, additional treatment options include wrist splinting, medications and surgery. Splinting and other conservative treatments are more likely to help you if you’ve had only mild to moderate symptoms for less than 10 months.

But I’d suggest not trying to put him into a box of your liking, because he for sure won’t go there. Nor would I particularly, personally, want to see him there. I suspect he is not just rippin’ on Korina, personally, but on the Filipino penchant for superficial glamour stars over substance. Regarding Tagalog, siguro dapat nating pag-aralan ito:

          Click to access tgol4.pdf

“A Deep Structure Surfaces in Tagalog” by Luis Umali Stuart

I bought the ebook a few years ago but never really got around to reading much of it.
Perhaps it is high time for people to seriously consider it.
Who knows we might find something in Tagalog things that have been found in the original languages of the Bible (Hebrew, Greek, … and some Aramaic, I think).

Let me go beyond what seems to be *small* things (commas, apostrophes, .. “jots and tittles”) by going to the New Yorker magazine (not a religious publication, btw) and show readers what they have written about “the Book of books”

          http://j.mp/i7ny-kj

The “Book” was, if I may mention, authored by no lesss than the Owner of the world,
which, of course, includes ang sariling bayan natin.
          “The earth is the LORD’S,
          and the fulness thereof;
the world, and they that dwell therein.”
          Psalm 24:1 KJV

          Let me close with this:
Which one is the true church?
          The INC?
          The RCC?
Do you know of one thing they have in common?

This seeims to be what they have in commong:
Fear of, or aversion to, using the King James Bible.

(Some think we have millions of years left on the planet.
Baka naman, ilan taong na lamang bago dumating ang “the new heavens and a new earth.”

I am big on Kris Aquino, whenever I held hostage in Filipino restaurant, I request to flip channel to Kris. Kris’s interview of her guests are half-half tagalog and english. I’ve never been to a Pinoy resto, except in LA. I remember a section of LA where most of the restaurants are Pinoys, with the exception of a token Korean. In one corner of the strip mall, a group of retired Pinoy dudes assemble almost everyday, doing what I don’t know. I teased one of my cousins to join them but he says he would not fit in. He says he might drink a little but nunca smoke.

          • Mariano Renato Pacifico says:

In early morning hours Filipinos hang-out already.

          From the Urban Dictionary:

          “conio

In the Philippines, the word “conio” is used to describe spoiled rich kids who often mix their English and Tagalog, resulting in sentences like: “Oh my naman! I have to make aral so i can make pasar the exam bukas!”

OMG, MRP, YOU are so conio!

Just caught on ABS-CBN TV evening news that in a private survey commissioned by LP on the question of who to choose betweeen Roxas and Binay — based on 1200 respondents — Rep Erice spokesman of LP said that the result was (no mention of date of field work):

    Roxas 53%
    Binay 37%
    Undecided 10%

We have to take this with some grain of salt. One thing I can say and have said before — commissioning a private scientifically-based survey is relatively cheap in the context of big-party resources. In fact these private surveys may be done almost monthly if based only on cost of surveys. And these can ask other questions that may help a party plan their optimum campaign strategies. As expected Binay complains about bias and we can grant him that. My own gut feel is that his camp is probably conducting its own private surveys.

Another point — if there is no basis for the survey as Erice announces, it is the lookout of LP. Also, a thought: would Erice have announced if Binay was in the lead? Again, take this with a grain of salt.

THEY DIED ON THE WAY TO THE HOSPITAL DUE TO THE TRAFFIC JAM CAUSED BY THE INC

This is on the hands of the INC, Binay, Poe, Escudero and Marcos who insist that the rights of the INC to that rally is absolute:

    http://cnnphilippines.com/news/2015/09/02/Traffic-endangers-lives.html

6 died during that INC siege because their ambulances could not go through, fellow Filipinos!

    • neo canjeca says:

Mr Good Road (paumanhin po Ginoong Buencamino) said in Uniffors, Ms Grace is rightly defending the rights of those people blocking the Edsa against the people going home tired from work. Now Ms. Poe it turned out is defending also the rights of the sick who surely got their instant rest in peace because of the heavy traffic at EDSA. Ms Poe just granted them: Buti nga sa kanila wala na silang problema. This is just to show that garbage can be made rubbish in the blogs.

    • Johnny Lin says:

Mar should go to wakes of those who died from the intentional traffic disturbance caused by INC.

If Binay and Poe will attend, the relatives of the deceased should reject their sympathies because they defended the cause of the death which is delay in seeking treatment from INC insensitivity to needy people passing thru EDSA. it might be unnatural to Filipinos to disrespect sympathizers but with Binay, it’s purely politically motivated.

Binay will try to gain sympathy by attending the wakes, send flowers and free coffins, his way of buying votes to the miserables!

  9. Johnny Lin says:

    Binay sangkatutak ang kasinungalingan.

Sabi ni Binay nung INC protests.
“They have the right to protest to stop being HARASSED by this administration”

    Ngayon sabi ni Binay
“I’m not pandering to the INC, being a human rights lawyer when people go to the streets Im defending their freedom of speech”

Sa pahena 21 na kanyang sagot after being caught of carelessness — at the very least — in filling up a form she/ her defense lawyers has this: in visual form I approximate the form items as:

Born [January 5, 1960] [Tondo, Manila]
To [Mario Cruz] and [Maria Reyes — Maiden Name]

GP in her legal defense said she never meant to portray Fernando Poe and Susan Sonora as her biological parents because she knows she is adopted. One has to note, her lawyer says, that there is a distance in the word “Born” and “To” What nonsense. Just say it as it is. Say she has been careless. But that will not look good on a Senator. A worse implication is that she meant to deceive or lied. Hence this laughable excuse of the distance of the words: born … to.

      • mercedes santos says:

Let’s not nitpick, shall we ? She lied and that is all that there is. Poor sweetheart and what a poor specimen for a senator she is. in deed, indeed .

“to”

Noemi Dado said you are real and has corresponded with you, adding you have been blogging in Filipino Voices.

  14. MGee says:

Meaning Salamat Mr. Caparros sa pag-translate. Sana maliwanagan ang ating mararaming kababayan.
